Installation Design
I enjoy working with interactive installations and providing my audience opportunities to participate and influence their experience. I believe interactive installations are very powerful medium, because they reflects the way we perceive the world: through interactions and experience. The viewer of my artworks is not just a passive receiver, they are invited to become a part of it, physically.
I design architecture, interactions and experience. I work with different level of technology: from printed objects and sculptures to motion sensors and smart projections.
I have experience of designing with phidget boards, smart programming (Max/Msp, AppleScript, Proccesing, Flash AS3), molding, large scale printing and wood construction.
I've completed numerous research on the relationship between interactive media, architecture and viewer's body, which makes me professional in this field.

![]() | 'Who Are You?' - Motion Sensors Triggered Projection (2011)
I designed and built 'Who Are You?' installation to recreate the experience of meeting someone, making a relationship with the individual, and discovering that he or she is not quite what they claimed to be. The installation is a temporary room, about 11 metres long and 3 metres wide, with all walls and ceiling in white. Four metres of the room length is dedicated for the rear projection space, the rest is for the viewer's experience. On closer approach to the screen, the projected character’s performance changes - the projection is triggered by proximity sensors. The movements of the characters increase in intensity and become a dance performance, music becomes more intensive and the speech more relaxed and confident. The characters seem to be more open, more relaxed, more confident, as if they were making a relationship with the viewer. Once the viewer comes about one metre from the screen, the projection changes into an extreme close up of the character's face. Now the characters become 'tired', mysterious - the viewer discovers a different truth about the characters. In terms of the technology, I worked with proximity sensors and phidget board. The program was developed in Apple Script, and has also a Max/Msp and Flash version. I also planned the architecture and provided its elements, including walls, back projection screen and lighting. |

The sets were displayed in public places, allowed the audience to play, admire, watch or interact with it. This simple but unusual object in public places cheered up and intrigued. ![]() |

![]() | 'Interactive Dreams' Interactive Projection (2009) In 'Interactive Dreams', I intended to reveal actual dreams and reflect the situation of dreaming, where our subconscious mind is in control of our dreams. We could learn to control our dreams in some degree, if we find out how... 24 video clips - 48 video footage, revealing actual dreams, were hyperlinked and projected on an interactive whiteboard. The viewer, touching the screen in particular places, could 'jump' to another video clip. The clips were connected by the chain of associations, like real dreams. The experience of touching and controlling the screen, and the surreal footage, created the unique and intimate experience of dreaming. Other viewers could observe the participants interacting, which provided them the pleasure of gazing. The role of the installation was significant in the experience - it watches differently than on a monitor screen. Technologically, I developed the software in Flash AS3 and programmed it for Interactive Whiteboard projection. I also provided all construction elements. ![]() |

![]() | Sculpture and Photo Collection (2007) 'Today's Woman', which represents various roles of women in today society, is a sculpture and collection of photographs. The sculpture is a female torso, covered with different images of women that appear in today media. How media images shape the representation of women today? |
